The B. Vincent Viscomi Engineering Prize was established in fall 2004 in honor of Professor B. Vincent Viscomi’s retirement after more than 40 years of distinguished service to Lafayette. During this time, Professor Viscomi has been an outstanding scholar, an active participant in service to his profession, and a highly valued colleague. But, Professor Viscomi’s most important legacy is his lasting effect on generations of Lafayette students for whom he was an exceptional teacher and inspiring mentor.
